GAVIN MEECHAN

Gavin is a Flow Assurance and Process Engineer with over 14 years of experience gained on projects in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, West and East Africa, North Africa and India. Gavin’s experience has mostly been gained on subsea oil and gas developments including intermediate and deep water projects. Gavin has experience of all stages of the engineering life cycle from feasibility and concept studies through to detailed design and operations support/operators engineering. Gavin’s experience includes analysis of both steady state operation and operation of systems in transient or upset operational conditions for both multiphase and single phase systems. In particular Gavin has extensive experience in thermo-hydraulic analyses, shutdown cool down analysis, system depressurisation analysis for hydrate prevention/remediation, well start-up studies and production system commissioning. Additionally, Gavin has significant experience in the development of field operating philosophies/flow assurance strategies and the writing of detailed operating procedures for subsea field developments.
