I Renewable Energy Vectors Assessment

Cleaner energy vectors such as hydrogen will play a key role in decarbonising transport, heating and industry in the future. Currently hydrogen production is primarily performed onshore, however, there is increasing interest in offshore hydrogen production and transportation. Like CO², hydrogen transportation poses several challenges for offshore/subsea infrastructure and pipelines. Crondall Energy has the expertise to help navigate our clients through those challenges and provide engineering solutions for their hydrogen projects.

As offshore wind developments move further from shore and in deeper waters, alternatives to transportation – as well as storage – of energy through HVDC cables will be critical.  Crondall Energy is investing into research of alternative energy vectors such as hydrogen, ammonia and compressed air to transport and store energy from existing and future offshore renewable energy developments.
