Delivering the first deep-water development in Mexico.

The project, which will deliver the first deep-water development in Mexico, consists of a semi-submersible Floating Production Unit (FPU) and the export of stabilised crude oil to a Floating Storage & Offloading unit (FSO) moored a few kilometres from the FPU.

Crondall’s scope included:

  • FSO contracting approach support, CAPEX and OPEX benchmarking.

  • Pre-qualification support and technical evaluation of FSO contractors.

  • Project risk assessments, gate review documents, contractor evaluation and scoring etc....)

  • Development of the FSO Functional Specification and pre-FEED Scope of Services.

  • Supplying the owner’s engineering team (hull, marine and mooring system) during the FSO pre-FEED

  • phase, including contractor engagement and review of contractor’s technical, compliance and project execution deliverables.

  • Development of scope for bridging phase and FEED Phase pre-FID.

Providing input on the development of a digitalised low manning strategy for the complete development (FPU and FSO).
