Crondall Energy successfully completed two studies on life extension analysis of the ageing FUKA transportation system with multiple 3rd party tiebacks. Getting the right data and understanding pipelines conditions was key.

The initial study provided the analysis of transportation system conditions to derive constraints on asset ultimate life. Using a phased approach Crondall Energy developed a robust assessment methodology (Phase 1) to determine existing pipeline conditions (Phase 2) and project future condition (Phase 3) and the resulting constraints on asset service life. Crondall Energy recommendations would enable FUKA pipeline transmission system life extension and safe operation. The study followed by another assessment reviewing complex tie-ins to the transmission system and implementing risk assessment on loss of containment. To succeed Crondall Energy carried out close liaison with multiple 3rd party operators to gather required data to deliver results within fixed timescale.
