The verification study ensured the clients' requirements were met by design, technologies, contractor capabilities and appropriate level/stage of work being complete.


Having performed early engineering/concept select studies on the Fortuna development, offshore Equatorial Guinea, Crondall Energy conducted a verification study of the complete subsea system (wellhead to top of riser) for the Subsea 7/Aker Solutions Consortium. The study investigated the suitability of each element and the whole system in steady, un-steady and upset conditions to identify any deviation/omissions from client requirements, confirm system fitness for all project stages, verify whether risks and uncertainties were correctly identified.
