History
Crondall Energy was founded by Duncan Peace and started operations in the UK in January 2001, based initially in the small Hampshire village of Crondall[1], with the objective of fulfilling a gap in the market for independent strategic, commercial and multidisciplinary technical advice on floating production projects. In 2002, Gary Doyle joined Duncan to work together on a number of studies and projects, the main one of which was the Santos operated Mutineer Exeter field offshore Western Australia.
In 2006, Gary moved to Perth in Western Australia to open an Australian office to capitalise on the growing project opportunities and the existing network of client contacts in Australia and the SE Asia region and the company entered into a period of sustained growth and expansion of our core capabilities.
In 2011 Crondall Energy expanded their range of services with the opening an Aberdeen office to provide subsea services. The subsea division has started with a core of experienced subsea professionals who cover the full range of disciplines including subsea equipment, flow assurance and pipeline design.
Footnote: [1] Crondall is a village in the North East of Hampshire and is all that remains of the old Hundred of Crondall referred to in the Domesday Book of 1086. An Old English Crundel was a chalk-pit or quarry, and the word has survived in the name of Crondall
